Beckman Scholars Program

The Division of Science and Math program has been selected as a 2024 Beckman Scholars Program awardee. Funded by the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation, the Beckman Scholars Program at UDC seeks to foster the next generation of creative thinkers by stimulating, encouraging, and supporting research by outstanding undergraduates who have demonstrated the desire and potential for becoming future scientific leaders. This mentorship research program is for exceptional undergraduate students in chemistry, biological sciences, or related interdisciplinary combinations.

STEM Center

At UDC, we believe that your academic journey should focus just as much on your learning experience as it does your personal ideas and innovations. To ensure that these aspects of your education are nurtured, we established the NSF-funded STEM Center for Research and Development. Since 2004, the STEM Center has played a crucial role in our STEM disciplines, providing undergraduate students with easy access to our state-of-the-art laboratories, in addition to mentoring and tutoring services, to help enhance the program’s educational offerings.

Deeply tied to our university’s educational ecosystem, the Center is sure to be an integral part of your academic journey.
