University Commitment

The university is deeply committed to providing equal educational opportunities for qualified enrolled or admitted students with disabilities in accordance with District and federal laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and 2008 (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

The policies and procedures outlined in this publication are intended to comply with both the letter and the spirit of District and federal statutes. The goal is to ensure that qualified students with disabilities have access to the same opportunities to succeed as other students at the university. According to the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, an individual is considered disabled when:
