Complete the following requirements below by the deadline to participate in the dual enrollment program.
STEP 1: Complete the online UDC CARE application.
- Visit QuickBase to complete part one of the DC Dual Enrollment Program application;
- After completing part one, students can choose to a) click the “save & close” button and finish the application later OR b) immediately complete part two of the application and check the “Submit” box at the bottom of the application and click the “save & close” button;
- Students should review part two of the application to ensure all required materials listed below, are successfully uploaded.
- After completing part one and uploading all required documents to part two of the application, please check the “Submit” box and click the “Save & Close” button. All applications will be forwarded to the OSSE Dual Enrollment Consortium Program Manager.
- Students must reapply to the DC Dual Enrollment Program each academic school year.
Students who have applied for admission for the fall semester will be notified of our admission decision before the end of the spring semester. Students seeking to enroll for the spring semester will be notified of our admission decision by the end of the fall semester.
Once students receive their acceptance into the CARE program, there are onboarding steps they must complete to enroll at the university and be registered for a class. A UDC CARE advisor will guide them through the following steps to complete their enrollment process:
- Step 1: Complete the UDC college application as a non-degree-seeking student
- Step 2: Complete and submit the enrollment packet
- Step 3: Attend orientation
- Step 4: Upload your immunization record
CARE Program participants can take college classes and earn college credit at UDC by enrolling at one of our campuses: Van Ness campus at 4200 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20008, or at our Lamond-Riggs campus located at 5171 South Dakota Ave NE, Washington, DC 20017 (near the Fort Totten Metro station).
Students accepted into the CARE Program will have the opportunity to meet with a CARE Program advisor. During this meeting, the student, parent/guardian, if desired, and the CARE advisor will discuss course options, including what course sections are available on what days and times. Course availability and times and days vary by semester. Class options can include:
- Foundations of Writing I and II
- Intermediate Algebra
- Biological Science I and II
- Integrated Science
- Foundations of Oral Communication
- Business
- Criminology
- Social Sciences
- Economics and Personal Finance and more!
