Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education

At UDC, we've designed and developed a multifaceted curriculum to empower you to thrive in schools that prioritize outcome-oriented learning while adhering to standards-based curriculum designs.

As an elementary education major, you'll receive a variety of unique opportunities to engage in innovative and creative teaching methods and to actively contribute to curriculum reforms. We emphasize a comprehensive curriculum that will prepare you for both advanced studies as well as a successful career as an educator.

UDC faculty are invested in ensuring that you are provided the knowledge and skills to serve as an effective educator after completing the program. 

We have crafted the Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education to prepare you for teaching children in grades K-5, with a specialized focus on urban settings. The program's curriculum offers a blend of rigorous coursework and hands-on field experiences tailored to address diverse educational needs within multi-ethnic, urban environments.

Accreditation

The program is accredited by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
