UDC Community Educator Diego Lahaye Wins Regional Award for 4-H Soccer Program
Diego Lahaye, a community educator for the University of the District of Columbia’s College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES), Center for Urban Agriculture and Gardening Education (CUAGE), has been selected as the winner of the Northeast Urban Extension Innovation Award for the UDC 4-H Youth Soccer Program. Lahaye is a UDC alum (Class of ’08) and runs multiple 4-H programs with CUAGE, including soccer, healthy living, school agriculture and nutrition. As a regional winner, he will be eligible for national recognition at the National Urban Extension Leaders Conference in 2024.
