Royal Court ready to take on their regal responsibilities
This academic school year brings new people to exciting roles, and these students are ready to serve as campus ambassadors and representatives.
Mister University of the District of Columbia: Jamil Mian
Mian is from Washington, D.C. and is a junior urban sustainability major. He serves as the polemarch for the Beta Kappa chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Incorporated. Mian looks forward to being an advocate for the student body and developing exciting new programs throughout the school year.
Miss University of the District of Columbia: Kendra Williams
Williams is a senior psychology major from Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is a member of the women’s track and field/ cross country team, a student-athlete advisory committee representative and the Beta Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she serves as the chapter’s financial secretary.
Miss Firebird: Itallya Taylor
Taylor is a junior computer science major from Washington, D.C. She is a DC-UP Scholar, vice president of the Ambassadors Engineering Program, and a two-time recipient of the AMIE Boston Scientific Scholarship award.
Miss Homecoming: Ra’Don Wilkerson
Wilkerson received an AAS degree in May and is pursuing a bachelor’s in administration justice. She is from Washington, D.C. Wilkerson is the UDC Prayer Works Club president and a former National Society of Leadership and Success member. She was Miss UDC-CC in 2021-2022.
Mister Homecoming: Leroy Ellis
Ellis is a senior criminal justice major from Washington, D.C. He is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Ellis serves as the communications director for the UDC Democrats.
Miss UDC Community College: Darchiniquia Smith
Smith is pursuing an associate degree in criminal justice and is from Mississippi. She is a member of the UDC Prayers Work Club, the Center for Diversity Inclusion and Multicultural Affairs, the Social Work Students Association and Martha’s Table Distribution Services.
Mister UDC Community College: Jymeen McGrier
McGrier is a freshman graphic design major from Washington, D.C. He is passionate about helping disadvantaged youth and has a background in community development from working with the Covenant House in the District and other programs such as the Breathing Space and Inner City Family Services.
Miss Senior: Morgan Livingston
Livingston is a senior business management major specializing in marketing, logistics & international trade. She is from Washington, D.C./Maryland. She is an intern at the Department of Energy. Livingston is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the National Society of Leadership and Success, the ambassador for the Andrew Goodman Foundation, and the president of the Beta Iota chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Mister Senior: Kenyon Stone
Stone is a senior digital media major from Prince George’s County, Maryland. He is a member of the UDC Men’s Basketball Team and the Omicron Omicron chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
