Faculty Senate

Welcome to UDC’s Faculty Senate. The Faculty Senate provides a forum for faculty, administration, students, and staff to collaborate and share views on academic matters. Through engaging dialogue, the Faculty Senate ensures that the needs of each stakeholder group are heard and receive fair consideration.

We pledge to continue and intensify our efforts to ensure that the Faculty Senate, as a fundamental pillar of governance and collaboration, is upheld vigorously. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where innovative ideas thrive and collective governance flourishes, aligning with our mission and strategic goals and objectives.

The Faculty Senate encourages all members of the university community to use this information to get involved, make suggestions to senators, and attend senate meetings.

Expand Digital and Physical Infrastructure

Digital enhancements bolster the Faculty Senate’s digital presence by launching an updated website to enhance significantly accessibility and engagement. This strategic improvement will serve as a central platform for disseminating critical information and fostering connections within our community. The innovative design and user-friendly features of the updated website will not only facilitate a dynamic exchange of ideas but also provide easy access to essential resources for faculty, students, and staff, significantly enhancing their experience and engagement.

Our commitment to physical infrastructure improvements is unwavering. In partnership with the Vice President of Facilities, we are dedicated to establishing a dedicated Faculty Senate office. This new space will be engineered to support a vibrant, safe, and healthy environment that is optimally conducive for scholarly engagement and governance activities. It will serve as a hub for collaboration, allowing members to convene, discuss, and strategize in a setting that reflects our dedication to excellence and community welfare.
