Dr. Jian Hua is a Professor at the School of Business and Public Administration at the University of the District of Columbia. He also is the Chair of the Department of Business Management. He joined UDC in January 2019. His research interests include information security and cyberterrorism. His teaching interests include International Business and Global Entrepreneurship. He is the Chair of UDC Capital Cup Entrepreneurship Competition, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education.
His research won the Best Interdisciplinary Research Paper at the 2009 Decision Science National Conference and the Best Application Research Paper at the 2011 Decision Science National Conference. He is also the first to win two different Best Paper awards in the recent 20 years of Decision Science National Conferences. In addition, in 2015 and 2016, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sponsored his research, “Civilians’ Economic Resilience to Cyber Terrorism Attacks.” In 2012, DHS sponsored his research, “Risk and Behavior of Cyber Terrorism.”
