Rooting DC is a free urban gardening forum that provides education about urban agriculture and food systems, cultivates health and protection of the environment and builds community. Sponsored by the Department of Energy & Environment and the Government of the District of Columbia, this year’s event will take place in person on Saturday, March 11, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. One of the sessions includes a presentation by UDC Urban Waters Ambassador and Community to Career C2 Academy Director Xavier Brown titled “Urban Waterways Partnership and the Anacostia River.” For more information, please click here.
