Human Resources at UDC is a service organization. Our range of services is based on the employment cycle. From pre-employment to retirement and everything in between, our role is to ensure the success of the University and all employees by providing services related to employment, training and development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.

We provide assistance with recruiting the best-qualified candidates, administering a wide range of employee benefits, performance evaluations and feedback, employee dispute resolution, work-life balance programs, workforce training and development, special emphasis programs designed to ward off discrimination in all practice areas and many other services to the UDC employee community.

Compensation

The compensation division of the HR department at UDC is responsible for managing and administering total rewards for employees. HRIS

The HRIS division at the University of the District of Columbia manages the university’s Human Resources Information Systems. They ensure seamless integration and functionality of HR software, streamline data management and enhance HR processes through technology. By maintaining accurate employee records and generating insightful reports, they support strategic decision-making and contribute to a more efficient and effective workplace.

UDC offers a range of employee resources to support our staff. Through the Employee Self Service portal employees can review payroll and benefits information, enter time, request leave and update personal details. Additionally, the myUDC staff intranet provides a centralized platform for accessing important resources, including the Manager’s Toolkit, training and development opportunities, policies and procedure documents and details on the Employee Assistance Program. These tools are designed to streamline administrative tasks and enhance the overall work experience for UDC employees.
