To be eligible to join the UDC-CC Beta Sigma Upsilon Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, students must 1) attend UDC Community College, 2) have 12 or more college credits, and 3) maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship, fellowship, service to the community, and leadership among two-year college students. Upon joining Phi Theta Kappa, students have access to over $37 million dollars in scholarships. As a result of scholarships, campus involvement, and additional support, Phi Theta Kappa students are four times more likely to complete college.

Phi Theta Kappa recognizes and encourages academic achievement of two-year college students and provides opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.

Did you receive an invitation to join Phi Theta Kappa?

If you have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have completed at least 12 credits at UDC-CC, you are eligible to join. When you meet this eligibility criteria, you will receive an official email invitation from PTK.org (the Phi Theta Kappa Headquarter) asking you to join. To join, all you have to do is ACCEPT your email invitation (within the email you received), complete your new member profile, and pay your one-time membership fee.
