The Speech and Hearing Clinic is a resource for students and employees of the University as well as all individuals within the greater metropolitan area who have concerns about their hearing, speech, or language skills.

The Clinic is located on the third floor of building 41 in room 306 on the Van Ness campus of the University of the District of Columbia at 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC  20008. Our phone number is 202.274.6161 and our fax number is 202.274.5589.

The Speech and Hearing Clinic exists to train graduate students in the speech-language pathology program at the University of The District of Columbia and to provide a resource in keeping with the University’s mission to serve the residents of the city.

We screen and assess hearing. We screen, assess, and treat disorders of speech and language. All services are provided at no cost. The clinic also partners with organizations in the area including senior wellness centers, schools and satellite sites.

The clinic provides services across the lifespan. Our services address issues of voice, fluency, and memory, to name a few. Our resources support improved communication skills and we can supplement services you may already be receiving through another agency.

All sessions are conducted by graduate students in the speech-language pathology program, under the direction and supervision of licensed, certified faculty.

Currently, all services are free of cost.

Semester sessions are offered 9:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend sessions are occasionally offered based on client needs and staff availability.

The UDC Speech and Hearing Clinic strictly adheres to Health Insurance Portability and Protection Act (HIPPA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines to ensure that client health information and student records are protected in accordance with federal regulations at all time.
