UDC Makes Debut at Prestigious Beckman Symposium
The University of the District of Columbia sent a delegation of two students and a faculty member to the renowned Beckman Symposium in Boston. This marked the first time UDC researchers participated in the high-profile annual conference, which focuses on cutting-edge scientific and technological innovations. The UDC contingent included Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dr. Samuel Dunning, Biology major Harry Martinez-Santos, and Chemistry and Biology double major Adrion Celey. They engaged with leading experts through keynote addresses, panel discussions, and research presentations. Supported by UDC’s new Beckman Scholars program, the symposium provided valuable exposure and networking opportunities, which are expected to contribute to the university’s growing research enterprise.
