The University of the District of Columbia Speech and Hearing Clinic provides provides comprehensive speech, language, and hearing services to the DC Metropolitan community. Services include articulation, language, voice, fluency, post-stroke and head injury intervention, gender-affirming voice services, cognitive communication disorders, and more. UDC STEM Center for Research and Development

UDC STEM Center for Research and Development

The STEM Center offers workshops, research opportunities, seminars, and community outreach to empower future STEM leaders. It supports students and faculty through mentorship, funding, and participation in national conferences, fostering a collaborative environment for advancing STEM education and research.

UDC Makes Debut at Prestigious Beckman Symposium

The University of the District of Columbia sent a delegation of two students and a faculty member to the renowned Beckman Symposium in Boston. This marked the first time UDC researchers participated in the high-profile annual conference, which focuses on cutting-edge scientific and technological innovations. The UDC contingent included Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dr. Samuel Dunning, Biology major Harry Martinez-Santos, and Chemistry and Biology double major Adrion Celey. They engaged with leading experts through keynote addresses, panel discussions, and research presentations. Supported by UDC’s new Beckman Scholars program, the symposium provided valuable exposure and networking opportunities, which are expected to contribute to the university’s growing research enterprise.

Celebrate the Opening of JF Books!

Join us in supporting UDC alum and English major Miao Yu, who opens JF Books, a new nonprofit bookstore at 1509 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC. Inspired by the legacy of Jifeng Bookstore in China, JF Books celebrates diverse voices and fosters community through literature and cultural events. Congratulations, Miao, on this exciting venture!
