Joining UDC in 2014, Majeeda Al-Jabbar serves now as the Pathway Director for Hospitality, Tourism, and Information Technology in Workforce Development & Lifelong Learning at UDC. Her role includes managing IT faculty, overseeing budgets, and ensuring the curriculum aligns with workforce needs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and has previously held various positions in hospitality management. She also was a Career Services Director at Job Corps.
In 2021, Ms. Al-Jabbar was the Program Manager for the HBCU C2 Apple Initiative, aimed at integrating Apple technology into the UDC ecosystem. The initiative focused on teaching the pedagogy and best practices of using Apple products and providing faculty with credentials.
Ms. Al-Jabbar stated, “I believe in the importance of keeping pace with technology to ensure that both faculty and students are up-to-date and skilled, thriving in the evolving tech landscape.” As a Program Manager for the HBCU C2 community and an Apple Certified Instructor, she exemplifies continuous learning and improvement. Majeeda is particularly excited about the UDC iLearn initiative and is confident in the campus’s readiness for this new phase.
