Alumni History Project
The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) will celebrate its 175th anniversary in 2026. To mark this historic occasion, the University is undertaking an ambitious campaign to collect oral histories, photographs and artifacts from alumni and their family members. Members of Firebird Nation are being asked to please participate in the first phase of the project, which will culminate into a richly bound 175th anniversary publication of our oral histories and significance. This year’s Alumni Trustee Election brought a record number of alumni home to participate in shaping the University’s Board of Trustees. We are grateful for your overwhelming interest in continual engagement and ask that you remain involved.

Thank you to our amazing Alumni who accompanied the UDC Foundation staff member to Home Depot’s Reveal Ceremony in Atlanta Georgia. We received a $75,000 award for an Innovation Lounge and both alum were more than excited to join us at the revealing at the Mercedes Stadium (center field).
