Blackboard

Blackboard

Blackboard is the University of the District of Columbia’s Learning Management System (LMS). It is available for faculty, students, and staff. For academic purposes, it is primarily used to facilitate instruction, manage courses (traditional, online, and hybrid), administer assessments, collaborate with students or colleagues using Digital Tools and applications, facilitate organizations, and manage assignments.

Blackboard Ultra

In Fall 2021, the university fully converted to the Blackboard Ultra learning management system (LMS). Blackboard Ultra allows UDC educators to facilitate instruction, manage courses (traditional, online, and hybrid), administer assessments, collaborate with students or colleagues using digital tools, media and applications, coordinate organizations, and manage assignments more seamlessly. It is a rich and powerful tool that we are committed to using at UDC.
