Dear Firebird Community,

Finals week is winding down, the holiday season is moving in, and it’s feeling rather festive here at UDC. But that’s not just because of the candy canes and glittering lights—we’re also wrapping up an incredibly energized and dynamic fall semester. 

In recent weeks, we’ve hosted discussions on culturally relevant themes. Explored the legacy of our alumni. Cheered on student-athletes to victory. Applauded national honors for our faculty. Broadened our community impact with partnership-powered learning opportunities. Celebrated a 9% jump in enrollment. Joined with our greater UDC community in officially launching our five-year strategic plan. And hosted one of our most robust Homecoming weeks yet.  

To our December graduates, congratulations on the culmination of all your hard work. I hope you can make time to celebrate this achievement this holiday season, before launching into an exciting new phase of your professional journey. And don’t forget to stay in touch with your UDC family!
