The University of the District of Columbia men’s soccer team (#6) clinched its first-ever East Coast Conference championship title on Nov. 17 with a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory against Molloy University (#5) at John A. Darcy Field in Rockville Centre, New York.

In an intense and closely contested match, the Firebirds claimed the title with a golden goal from Mustafa Tahir in the 100^th minute. UDC earns the automatic bid into the NCAA tournament, marking only their second appearance since the 2017 season.
